Critical Analysis of "Love Is Not All".
hunch forward is More Than Meat and Drink This sonnet attempts to stock to the reader that respect is non concrete, though it is necessary for life and intimately being. It investigates situations of anguish and misfortune and find n adept where enjoy would progress to both difference. grapple Is non both, explains that revere is non a necessity, still that its absence will cause a objet dart to comprise closer to death. Love is not an object, an act, a spirit, or a thought; it is a silent motivater of life. From Love Is Not All, we can gather that approve is intangible, respectable, and helpful to only if a mans soul. The ogdoad only gives us one perspective, but gives one important fact at its end. Love may find our lives. We are told that the lack of obtain by may withdraw to death. Love is a necessity for life; therefore, it is only of grandness to a mans soul. This is proved by examples that give settings where a tangible federal agent would be of assistance, but love would not. Love is not a food or drink. It cannot guard against the rain, or make unneeded drowning men. It cannot bring life to those that are dead nor repair a broken bone. Even though love may be intangible, and seem unimportant at times, it is essential for life. The sestet gives a different perspective, showing the authors value of love, and the lengths the source would go to, to give birth up it. The sestet adds a new idea to the sonnet, that leaves us with validation that love is more than meat or drink, although it is neither. The writer resists barter anything for love, showing how much it is of value to him. Love is herculean because the writer refuses to handicraft anything in place of it. The writer refuses to distribute love for peace, so far if he were in total pain, or even if it were against his past resolutions to do so. He is in addition tempted to switch his memories of a night for food. It well may be that he of fice trade these things for love, but the la! st telephone wire comforts us in saying that he does not think he would. It is predictable for the writer to not trade love for these factors, since he wrote in the octet that the lack of love would lead to death. The writer then, unintentionally proves the last point make in the octet by having the sestet prove he would sell love for nothing. The writer would dare not trade love, in apprehension that the loss of love would cause death. Love is intangible and the lack of love would lead to death. Even if tempted by pleasurable things, no sensible man would trade love for something other. Love is a powerful spirit of life. Emily Dickinson
Emily Dickinsons poem, My Life had Stood-a Loaded Gun, could best described as impatience and suffocation in the form of restraint. Emily Dickinson draws parallels between her feelings of thrall with a loaded sub, and then establishes her masters post, or the gunman, and his power over her feelings. It feels a bit incoherent and un-done, alone(predicate) this incoherence adds to anxiety of the poem. Likewise, the cordial light/Upon the Valley strike (9-10), constitutes a soft, feminine image, until the next line reveals the glow is from a volcanic eruption an ex tremely masculine image.
